Last year, we looked at the background of the story wherein we described the perfect storm, the enemy’s mission and purpose and what was God’s strategy to overcome the situation. After Elisha released the strategic, prophetic words, there was another scene outside the city. It took four lepers to save the nation! More than just a Sunday School story, there are important lessons to be drawn from the four lepers. The fact that these four persons are lepers speaks volumes to us today. The next thing we discover is the strategic place they were found to be having a discussion among themselves – the gate of the city! Then, their attitude of not loving their lives unto death is another important quality to possess. We also looked at the importance of the timing which the deliverance took place – at twilight. Lo and behold, abundance of food, gold, silver and clothing were in the enemy’s tents – “awaiting” them!
