The Feeding and The Rest

At this juncture, there is a turning point for the Shulamite as she progressed in her pursuit of her Lover. Previously, she knew Him as the King but she will begin to follow Him and discover that He is the Shepherd of her soul. It is imperative for the bride of Christ to seek and receive unadulterated word and direction from the Bridegroom Himself. The main feature of recognizing the true Source is that love is the motivation of all that flows from the Bridegroom. From the questions posed by the Shulamite to her Shepherd, we learn that there are 2 important keys in our spiritual lives. One concerns our spiritual feeding and the other speaks of spiritual rest. There is a place beyond our wildest imagination which we can be truly fed and find true rest. We also learn the importance of turning to our Shepherd and be led by Him as the veils in our hearts are removed.
