Jesus is in the midst of the seven golden lampstands and He walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands. He is in our midst, He is in control and He is reigning and He is working in our lives. We are His temple and Jesus is the Centre of His temple. He drove out the people (buying and selling) from the temple. There are seasons when God removes people from our lives and we have to ask ourselves if Jesus is at the centre of our relationships. At a more devotional level, we must learn stillness, the voices of people must be driven out from our minds when we want to pray and engage God. Jesus overturned the tables and the chairs. There are lessons to be drawn from the money and the caged dove. Thirdly, Jesus also wants to remove every distraction and burdens from our hearts. He cleanses the temple so that He is the centre of the temple. We must be registered on His School of Unlearning. In this school, alignment begins to take place when Jesus is at the centre – everything else is in perfect balance and harmony. After the cleansing of the temple, Jesus revealed the destiny of the temple and it began to be fulfilled as we can see from Matthew 21:14.
