We are multi-dimensional beings – when we were redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, we were seated in the heavenly places with Him. There is no limitation of time and space in the spirit realm. We are to look at things that are unseen as the things that are unseen are eternal. The Kingdom realm is the unseen realm. By cultivating our internal lives, we are also learning to access the eternal realm. From John’s experience when he was on the Patmos island, we learned the necessity of (a) “the Lord’s day”; and (b) being in the spirit. The reality of spiritual Sabbath as exemplified by Jesus, the Lord of the Sabbath should be an experiential reality for us. From this place of rest, we look at what it means to be in the spirit, to live in the spirit and to walk in the spirit, as exhorted by Paul. When we examine the Old Testament, we learn 2 principles concerning walking in the spirit.
