Not Everyone Who Says to Me, 'Lord Lord'

When our Christian faith is lop-sided, it may not withstand storms and shakings. It is imperative that our Christian faith is built on solid foundation. “Bethany” is a place where, the very foundation is for us to seek and know God. That has been the first and ultimate call in our lives. Apostle Paul recognized that. It is not ministry, not anointing, not giftings, etc. These are all valid but we are called to live from the “centre of the wheel” not the “spokes”. Whilst we judge a tree by the fruit we have got to be aware that fruit is not just merely the externals. In the statement made by Jesus, casting out demons and performing wonders did not equate with doing the Father’s will. Possessing a heart like King David, a heart after God’s heart is the correct posture – in ensuring the carrying out of God’s will in our lives. King David’s one passion was not to be a king or to be rich. His “one thing” has always been the pursuit of God – in the beholding of God’s beauty and in the times He spent in the secret place.
