Wrongly interpreting what we see can sometimes jeopardize our destinies in God. Joseph saw beyond his brothers’ evil intentions and he saw God Who meant it for a greater good. Many lessons can also be drawn from the account of Lot leaving Abram after the strife between their herdsmen. Lot’s “seeing” was entirely different from Abram’s “God-instructed seeing”. A key to having enlightened eyes can be found from the story of Jonathan partaking the honey when his father prohibited the people of the land from consuming any food. There’s an ever-flowing goodness awaiting God’s people in the Holy of Holies which will transform our perception. When our eyes are enlightened, we begin to perceive things that happen in our lives differently and we begin to see the goodness of God in everything.
